I don't really believe in choosing just one thing.
I make zines, draw, take photographs, read, cook, collect old things and make things with my hands.
Some become projects. Some become stories.
Some are simply things I make
because I love making them.
They don't have to belong
to the same category.
They belong to the same life.

Some things start with an idea or an interest.
Others begin with something I find.
A photograph, an old object, a piece of paper, a strange little thing that catches my eye.
I don't really know where one thing ends and another begins. I just follow what makes me curious.
who's behind Byron
I'm Micol. I research, I write, I draw, I collect, I make things.
My background moves between psychology, epidemiology, biostatistics, translation and graphic design, but I've never been very good at keeping things in separate boxes.
Byron is where I let them connect.
I turn ideas, research, words, images and the things I find into illustrations, zines, infographics, maps and other visual stories.
The common thread is curiosity and the desire to keep learning.
